Space Rental Information

Hours: Magellan Center spaces are available for rent Monday – Sunday 8:00 am – 6:00 pm, and evening 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm.

Standard Inclusions: All rentals include use of the facilities, onsite tables*, chairs*, drop down screens and access to computer wireless connection.

Catering and Furniture Rental: You may provide your own caterer and rental contractor for any additional furniture you require. We can provide coffee, tea and water for $5/per person.

For an additional fee, we can handle all arrangements for you including -- event management, catering, furniture rental, set up and take down. Several caterers work with Magellan Center; we are happy to provide their menus.

Approval: All rentals are subject to approval. Magellan is a nonprofit research and program center with normal business conducted Monday through Friday. Rental space is available at our operational convenience. Space is most appropriate to business meetings, board meetings, nonprofit fundraisers, seminars, workshops, breakfast, luncheons, and dinners. We do not rent to activity classes – exercise, dance, self defense, art, crafts.

Computer Lab: Our new computer lab is occasionally available for rent. Special restrictions and charges apply.

Preference to Members: Magellan Center members receive advance booking preference and discount prices. Membership is open to all; membership information is available from the Rental Manager.

Rental Spaces:

Library – 16’ x 32’ Private. Furniture is arranged as casual seating – sofas, recliners, coffee table/side tables, dining table and 8 chairs. Amenities: Large white board, drop down screen and telephone conferencing**. The library is suitable for small meetings – one-on-one, board meetings, interviews, quarterly reviews, recognition events, receptions. Seats 1 – 24.

Kanemoto Conference Room – 16’ x 32’ Multipurpose. Private. Moveable furniture that accommodates lectures, training, classrooms, as well as small dining. Food service seats 24 – 28 at 6 tables. Lecture seats 40. Amenities: Large white board, drop down screen and telephone conferencing2.

Xilinx Conference Room – 30’ x 36’ Multipurpose. Private. Moveable furniture accommodates many configurations. Seats 75 – 80. Amenities: Large wood conference table seats 8 – 12. Excellent for larger meetings, formal board meetings, venture capital presentations, recognition receptions, seminars.

Press Conference Hall -- 30’ x 52’ Multipurpose. Open space excellent for presentations, press conferences, panel discussions, more. No windows makes this a great place for visual presentations. Moveable furniture for many configurations. Seats 75 – 100.

Upper Gallery – 21’ x 25’ Multipurpose. Intimate, great space for working meetings with meal service. Moveable furniture easily sets up for tables of 4, 8, 12. Seats 25 – 50. Also sets up well as theater seating (60 – 75) or training table space. Amenities: Dark wall serves as screen.

Main Gallery – 60’ x 63’ Multipurpose. Open space. Moveable furniture for many configurations. Best suited for “All-hands” meetings, banquets, large programs. Theater style seats 200 – 500+. Dining seats 50 – 300+. Training tables seats 50 – 400+. Amenities: Two window walls, one with mountain view. Open space that can expand through Upper Gallery (21 x 25) and Press Conference Hall (30 x 52) for additional seating.

Furniture available onsite is used daily and loaned by Magellan Center. Generally available –

Prices:

  • Entire Facility – Library, Kanemoto, Xilinx, Hall, Upper and Main Gallery -- $700.00 per day
  • Library -- $75 ½ day event
  • Kanemoto -- $100 ½ day event
  • Xilinx -- $150 ½ day event
  • Press Hall -- $75 ½ day event
  • Upper Gallery -- $100 ½ day event
  • Main Gallery -- $250 ½ day event
  • To the above, add 10% for evening and weekend hours
